Craig Webb’s story

< Back to stories

Craig Webb was on Waiheke Island doing a site assessment for work – suddenly his foot got caught under a root and his other foot slipped down the bank and his ankle broke in three places.

In agony, Craig tried to climb up the hill, passing out a couple of times on the way. He managed to get to the road at the top of the hill and called his boss when the taxi scheduled to pick Craig up arrived and took him to A&E.

Craig was picked up by the Auckland Westpac Rescue Chopper and taken directly to North Shore Hospital.
